Dear Valued Member of the Jeffersonville Community,
I am writing to invite you to share your memories of Jeffersonville during an informal discussion with the community on Saturday, May 16 at Village Hall. We are planning two “Tea Talk” events at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. that day as part of Jeffersonville’s Chalk Walk Festival, an official Sullivan County Bicentennial-sealed event to commemorate Sullivan County’s 200th Birthday.
Local memorabilia will be on display in the upstairs of Village Hall during the event and light refreshments will be served. We hope you’ll be interested in joining us as we discuss the history of the area. Everyone that participates will have an opportunity to share some of their own experiences while living here if they choose.
The Chalk Walk Festival is the Village of Jeffersonville’s official Bicentennial-sealed event to commemorate Sullivan County’s 200th Birthday. Festivities will begin with a Chili Cook-off on the evening of Friday, May 15 and continue through Sunday, May 17 with plenty of food, children’s activities, historical talks, live entertainment, special events and promotions along Main Street. Local amateur and professional artists, individuals and families are invited to Chalk the Walk along Main Street throughout the day on Saturday, May 16.
If you are interested in participating in one or both of the Village Tea Talks, please contact: Krista Robison at First Grace Lutheran Parish 845-482-5019
